Pool House - Stevenage
For this nearly-completed pool house, the brief was to deliver a high-impact lighting design that complemented the architecture while keeping installation costs and disruption to the finished surfaces to a minimum. The result is a beautifully balanced scheme that feels both sophisticated and practical.
To achieve this, we installed ORKO water-resistant white fabric sections, providing a clean, elegant ceiling finish that also negated the need for high-level plastering and painting. The system offers excellent durability in a humid environment while maintaining a sleek, modern appearance that enhances the overall ambience of the space.
Discreet architectural lighting was a key requirement. To preserve the aesthetic of the exposed timber structure, LED Flex Extreme was seamlessly integrated into routed slots within the oak beams, delivering a subtle yet striking linear glow. Additional runs of LED Flex Extreme were used for wall-wash lighting, gently accentuating textures and adding depth to the interior.
The finished pool house combines technical ingenuity with refined design — a low-maintenance, economical and high-performance lighting solution that enhances the natural warmth of the materials and creates a calm, inviting atmosphere perfect for year-round enjoyment.
